How animals drive progression

Every care action you complete on an animal feeds back into the shop's income. That single design choice is what makes the 2026 remake an active tycoon rather than an idle one: the animals are the engine, and the engine only turns while you are working at it.

A bigger collection matters for a second reason. New animals arrive as milestones in the business rather than on a timer, so each unlock adds a care routine and a fresh goal at the same time. Players who keep the routine running progress noticeably faster than players who treat care as a one-off chore.

The four care systems

Four systems make up animal management, and they overlap on purpose. Feeding, walking and playing are recurring activities; unlocking animals is the milestone that adds the next routine to your list.

SystemTypeWhat it doesCadence
FeedingPet careCovers basic animal needs and keeps the care loop running; it depends on food supplies from the food storeRecurring
WalkingPet activityDirect one-to-one time with an individual animal, outside the cagesRecurring
PlayingPet activityActive engagement that supports steady progression between unlocksRecurring
Unlocking animalsProgressionAdds a new pet, a new routine and a new goal once the business has advancedMilestone-based

The three recurring activities are meant to be repeated, not completed. Run them as one pass through the store instead of doing whichever one you enjoy most and calling it done.

03 / priority list

Ranking pets without a published roster

The phrase most players arrive with is tier list, and the honest answer for the 2026 remake is that no dated source publishes one. Pet names, rarity tiers and unlock conditions are not documented anywhere we can cite, so a numbered top ten built on names would be fiction.

What can be ranked is the slot an animal occupies in your store. Judge each pet against four questions before you spend space on it.

QuestionWhy it decides the slot
What does it cost to keep?A pet that lengthens your care routine has to earn that time back
How much room does it take?Space spent here cannot hold the next animal
What is it worth on the shelf?Shelf value decides whether the extra care turns into sales — the actual sell values are unpublished
When does it unlock? An early unlock earns for longer than one that arrives beside an already full store

Run the four questions in that order whenever a new animal becomes available. You end up with a priority list your own store produced, which is more useful than one copied from a page that never had the data.

04 / capacity

Space versus collection

Space is the real ceiling on a collection. The care guidance published for this game repeats one warning above all others: do not unlock animals faster than you can house them. An animal with nowhere to stand adds care work without adding shelf space, which is the worst trade available.

That is why expansion is a pet decision as much as a building decision. Keep store capacity growing alongside the collection and every unlock keeps its value. Buy the animal first and the room second, and the second purchase is damage control rather than progress.

05
05 / avoidable

One care mistake that costs you

The most expensive habit in a busy store is uneven attention. It is easy to settle on one animal, run the full routine on it, and leave the rest waiting while customers come and go.

06
06 / map services

Where the vet and the food store fit

Two services on the map support the routine. The food store keeps feeding possible, because food supplies come from there — a restock trip belongs in the session plan, not in the emergency column.

The vet covers the health side of animal management. Neither service replaces the routine: both exist to keep animals in a state where feeding, walking and playing still work. The published coverage is blunt about the consequence of letting care slide — animals that are not looked after do not stay well enough to sell.

What is confirmed about the pets

Everything above describes systems rather than specifics, because that is the limit of what dated sources document for the 2026 remake by Already Arrived Studios.

Pet names, rarity tiers, unlock requirements and every price are missing from all dated sources. Unconfirmed — check in-game.
